At this church, we joyfully welcome and celebrate the Rite of Marriage with two individuals who are holding a valid marriage license. Couples may be heterosexual or same gender.
The pastor of First Congregational UCC presides over all wedding services taking place on church grounds with the United Church of Christ's Rite of Marriage being the base service. Together, the pastor and the couple work to personalize the service. Our goal is to make the service special and unique for each couple.
There are costs. Contact the pastor to identify costs (use of the church) and honorariums (pastor, organist, & cleaning) as well as scheduling the wedding. Use of the building is complimentary for active members.
Pastors like to meet with couples prior to their wedding, this helps to make the wedding day a special event.
